by Marvin Carroll

As a first-time homeowner, you may not necessarily be able to afford the most luxurious of homes. And while you may dream of one day owning a dream home, there are ways to make the home you have now look fancier and more luxurious without paying luxury prices.

So, get to know some of these home improvement options that will allow you to take your home to the next level of luxuriousness and get to work at transforming your home into your own person oasis.

Window Film

While you may not be able to afford beveled glass or stained glass windows, you love the appearance of such windows and know that they speak volumes about luxury and class. Luckily, there is a way to create the look of such customized and unique glass without the high cost.

The solution to your problem is a product known as window film. Window film is a thin adhesive film that is applied directly to the glass of your windows. it comes in a variety of designs and styles to meet your needs, and is easy to apply with a simple application tool to ensure the film sticks smoothly to the glass with no creases or air bubbles.

Window film is washable and is resistant to heat, cold and moisture. It also provides added UV protection and privacy. As an added bonus, if you decide that you no longer want the design you chose for your window film, you can easily remove it without any residue left behind on your window glass.

Faux Windows on Your Garage Door

To make your home look more expensive and luxurious, you can give the illusion that you purchased a brand-new, high-priced garage door without having to spend a large amount of money. All you need is paint, painter's tape, a paint brush, and an exterior sealer.

On the top panels of your garage door, place the painter's tape to divide each section along the top into 4 rectangles (like the frame of a window). Paint the four rectangular spaces with black paint. Once the paint is dry, remove the tape. You can stop here and cover in sealant. If you want to create an even more realistic faux window, you can use grey paint to add a shadow effect and depth.

As you can see, there are quick and easy ways to create the illusion of luxury and expensiveness in your home without breaking the bank. All you have to do is get a little creative and use some of these innovative home products to do so. Talk to resources like Alberta Tinting & Graphic Services for more tips and suggestions.
